Tribal Manifesting Tricks

I stumbled upon the Tribal Manifesting Tricks while dancing around my studio one day.  As I danced, I felt my body asking “What is the most powerful next step I can take in my life?”

Then almost magically I had a clear insight pop into my head and I stopped my dance and I ran to find my sketchbook so I could write it down.

When I finished recording the guidance I wondered how I manifested such a speedy and clear response to my request?

Then I remembered all the research I had done on Tribal Art.

Did you know that in ancient tribal cultures their version of art is actually their offerings to spirit. For example, when they wanted rain they would create a mask and a dance that would stir up the energy of rain.  When they wanted healing they would create something as an offering to spirit for their healing. Their art was their way to communicate with spirit.

From a modern perspective you could say they created art in order to have a relationship with spirit so they could manifest the results they wanted.

This is actually the premise of Soul Art. It is the process of creating art as a tool to connect and communicate with spirit in order to live the life you want.

So why not put these Tribal Manifesting Tricks to work for you right now!

Here are the clear steps….

1. Be clear about what you want. If you are going to ask for something you need to know clearly what that is. For example, when they were creating the rain dance, they knew they wanted rain.

2. Do something creative. Once you’ve clarified what you want, stir your energy up by doing something creative. Make something that expresses what you want, dance with the energy of what you want.

3. Be open to receive guidance from spirit.

Enjoy!

I have to tell you, I believe this is a wonderful tool. Once years ago I was in love with a certain fellow. We had had a break up and it was painful. I directed that pain into a painting of a Native American Eagle dancer on a cow skull as I paineted I prayed. It was believed that eagles could carry your prayers to the Great Spirit on their feathers, and the Eagle Dancer was a celebration and request of the eagle to do so. As I created that painting I thought of my need for the prayers to make it to heaven. When I finished the painting it was not long and the fellow and I reconciled our relationship and we have now been together 18 1/2 years.

Wow this is powerful…There is so much we do not understand that our
Ancestors did. I have wanted to get a Tattoo but must be more than a picture on my skin. My quest has been for some time…about 5 years. Searching on the web, I came upon the oldest women found mummified with a tattoo of a horse/deer from Siberia. She is known as the Ice Princess. Her spirit has been present with me…I have made an appointment to recreate this tattoo on the Blue Moon. She who lived so long ago is giving women a power of the past for our future of strength and truth. Face value goes far beyond our visual sight…it goes within. Close your eyes and see. And dance, dance, dance!

    I love the reminder, Laura.
This feels totally in line with my Spirit. What if every word, every touch, every step, every breath is an offering to Great Spirit and a Huge Thank you for Life and Living totally, deeply, openly.
    Be blest. Dance true.
    Love,
    Sarah Priestess

This is exactly what I do with so much of my art and writing. I know it is “channeled” and becomes “message gifts” for myself and others. I create a sacred space to work and then set an intent to be an open channel and whether I have a question or request or whether I am just being an open channel and the wonderous things that come are amazing. Movement of all sorts is a way of using our energy to shift and stretch out to the energy of the uinverse. Our awareness of that connection is the key. Movement creates change and shifts all sorts of blocks. It can be dance, tai Chi, or repeated fast marks on a dozen papers that our hands and eyes dance over. Thank you Laura for giving us another source of universal wisdom: movement and the wonders of dance and expressing our invisilbe needs and feelings in a visible way.

    Blessings to all,
    Feather

i read the posts above and my spirit was lovingly lifted up to higher ground. Dance, dance, dance . . . all i want to do is dance, sing, and perform my life roles with others who wish to build, develop and strengthen feelings of community and connection.
i read Laura’s post and thankfully it affirmed how i was feeling and what i eventually began to do last week – I started to GET CREATIVE, and i got back to editing a film project i have been working on since JUNE.

    Performatively,
