Wow, what a great interview! Thank you both, Laura and Soniei, for making it happen! I’m here because of Chris Guillebeau’s Nonconformity site.

There are some wonderful and terrifying things revealed here. I have only recently discovered in the past few years just how much I enjoy and value art in my life. I related to Soniei’s story about thinking it was “just a hobby” and not “real” work for many years. I have been in the process of making a career change for quite some time, and it is very scary to think of the possibility of dedicating a large part of my life to art. It’s wonderful to hear someone being so straightforward about the experience. Thanks for sharing it!

What a wonderful interview! I was so excited to see a post from Soniei appear in my RSS reader, I had to come and listen to her interview. I’m one of the people who emailed her to tell that her story helped me decide to switch majors from Accounting to Art. I don’t know what the future holds, but I’m eagerly looking forward to it now!
