8 Tips for Living Your Iconic Trait

Iconic Trait

'Express your Iconic Trait'. Laura Hollick photographed by Kevin Thom. Makeup by Robin Wright.

Living your Iconic Trait is about being the full embodiment of your Spirit on Earth.
It is about creating your entire life as a work of art.

With the recent death of Elizabeth Taylor I was reflecting on her life and celebrating the power of this woman. She lived a life that was uniquely hers. She lived her Iconic Trait, she embodied her spirit, she lived her life as art, she was a Soul Artist.

I believe the true desire deep in the heart of all of us is to be the living embodiment of our Spirit on Earth. When we fully embody our spirit we naturally exude our Iconic Trait and every day becomes the unfolding of our own masterpiece.

Connecting with your Iconic Trait starts with connecting with your spirit.

Here are 8 Tips for Living Your Iconic Trait and Being a Soul Artist

1. Recognize yourself as the final authority on your life.

2. Place a high value on your unique creative spirit.

3. Take exquisite care of yourself.

4. Trust yourself enough to know what wants to flow through you is beautiful.

5. See yourself as part of an ecosystem, and know what is unique about you is an essential part of the ecosystem.

6. Start noticing what is extraordinary in others. The more you see it in others the more you’ll be able to see it in yourself.

7. Strengthen your courage and share your deepest Self with the World.

8. Be who you dream of being.

What are some other tips you could share to help people live their Iconic Trait and be a Soul Artist?

6 tips for clarifying your Soul’s Purpose

Saturday, March 27th, 2010

Clarifying your Soul’s Purpose is like doing a dance with your spirit, you just have to learn the steps.  They are as easy as 1,2,3…

6 tips for clarifying your Soul’s Purpose

1. Decide ~ Make the decision that you want to know your Soul’s Purpose.  Decide that knowing your Soul’s Purpose is important to you.

2. Request ~ Have you heard the saying “Ask and it is given”, it is true.  You have to ask for what you want. Make a request to know your Soul’s Purpose. Say it out loud  “I want to know my Soul’s Purpose”.

3. Listen ~ Once you’ve made a decision and a request, you have to listen for your spirit to respond to your request.  The way to listen is to notice spirit nudges and intuitive guidance. Notice when you feel drawn to something, notice when something glows with excitement for you.

4. Decipher ~ As you listen within, you need to be able to decipher what is your spirit talking and what is something else.  Your spirit speaks in joy, aliveness, health, invigoration, and relaxation.  When you feel these you can rest in knowing your spirit is present with you.

5. Respond ~ When you hear your spirit you must respond to it.  If your spirit guides you to do something you must do it. If it is true spirit guidance you will feel awakened by the notion of doing what is asked of you, even if it seems challenging. Respond to your spirit by acting on your intuition.

6. Trust ~Trust your own rhythm and you will waltz right into your purpose.

*Take this a step further and discover your Iconic Trait,  which is like your Soul’s Purpose magnified!   Listen to the free audio called ‘Discover Your Iconic Trait’

*To take it even further you can begin your ‘Create Yourself’ Soul Art journey and transform your life & business into a work of art.

Create Yourself as your Iconic Trait

Monday, March 22nd, 2010

I believe our spiritual purpose on earth is to create ourselves as the full embodied expression of our spirit. Those who do this with totality radiate with a magnetic presence, it is undeniable.

Everyone has a unique inner spirit essence. When you express your unique inner spirit essence you activate your Iconic Trait and put your true path in motion.

When you travel down deep into your spirit, you’ll find that one of the deepest desires is to BE your Iconic Trait.
In fact you are designed to be it, but it does require a bit of physical, spiritual and creative work (or I like to think of it as play!).

This is the journey of creating yourself as your Iconic Trait.
The beginning of this journey starts with knowing what your Iconic Trait is!
If you want to discover yours, you can listen to this FREE audio called ‘Discover Your Iconic Trait’

Once you know and understand your unique Iconic Trait, then you are ready to consciously take the journey to ‘Create Yourself’.

To stir up the energy of few creative sports joined me to re-create one of Jackson Pollock’s Iconic Masterpieces. Hope this inspires you to explore your own Iconic Trait and begin the journey to ‘Create Yourself’.

Re-creating Iconic Masterpieces

Sunday, March 14th, 2010

In the art world masterpieces are the pieces that clearly express the iconic expression of the artist.  They capture a quality that we can spot  instantly as if it were a letter in the alphabet of our collective unconscious. Can you guess the artists that created these?

Iconic Masterpieces

To understand and explore iconic traits Kevin Thom and I decided to re-create old masterpieces from art history with a Soul Art flair.  We wanted to explore their iconic traits and come up with new creative ways to capture it.

As a research project we have been digging into what makes something iconic and how can we spot it, capture it and express it.  Can you guess what artists are being expressed here…

Laura Hollick re-creates masterpieces with Kevin Thom

Somewhere in the deep crevices of our being we all want to be iconic, because we know that we have something so unique and so brilliant to offer the world and we want to find our way of expressing it so everyone else can experience it.

This is part of our spiritual journey~ we are here to connect with and understand our own unique essence and express it in the world.  When we connect with our own unique essence we tap into our own iconic trait.

The act of expressing your iconic trait instantly transforms your life into a work of art.

Are you ready to discover your iconic trait?

Discover Your Iconic Trait and become a living masterpiece

Saturday, March 6th, 2010

Legendary Icons express their energy so clearly and with such precision that the very thought of them means something. As a society we can identify them with a single trait. I call this the iconic trait.  Can you guess who all of these Legendary Icons are?  (I included them at the bottom of this post)

Iconic Traits

When you see that one white sparkly glove I bet you know who that is?!

The iconic traits of celebrities become such a part of our collective unconscious they are practically part of the alphabet. But, you don’t have to be a celebrity to have an iconic trait.

An iconic trait is a quality that clearly and powerfully expresses your unique essence.

Imagine if you were able to identify your own iconic trait,  how do you think that would transform your life?

When you know your iconic trait your purpose is clear and you know how to direct your energy.

The art of living your spirit is about connecting with the essential part of yourself and clearly expressing it in the world. When you do this you express your iconic trait.

Discovering your iconic trait instantly exposes your soul’s purpose and your life transforms into a work of art. You become a masterpiece.
