It all started with a vision!

Years ago I had a dream of a lifestyle and business that made my heart sing. I became passionately focused on making that dream a reality.

Vision Boards became my tool of choice. After much trial and error I discovered some tricks and strategies for making my Vision Boards powerful manifesting tools.

Behind the Scenes creating The Legend of nü photo

It started on a fabric shopping adventure where I found the most beautiful magenta fabric with black poka-dots. It instantly reminded me of the nü symbol for the nü Business Mentorship Program.

I knew I wanted to created something with it so I started sketching possibilities. I never really know how something is going to turn out. I just dive into the creative process and let the process lead me and teach me what its message is.

I worked with designer Lissa Hill to bring my design to life. I’m great at imagining things, but not so great at tailoring. Lissa is a dream to work with, she started her design journey as a coutour Wedding Designer so she is masterful at making elaborate outfits fit seamlessly.

While on a hike one day I discovered dark brown bean-like shapes that had fallen from the tree. I instantly got the vision to use the beans to make Medusa-like hair. I collected them up and laid them out to figure out how I could transform them into hair.

I used a glue gun to attach the beans onto a hat form. The hat was then secured to my head using my hair. I love how they create a storm of aliveness!

Sue Upton created the magenta mask to match the magenta dress.

I wanted a mask to bring focus to the eyes. When we are creating the nü paradigm so much of the journey is about how we look at things and how we perceive our reality. I wanted to show that we can see the world the way we want.

Of course I needed to do some laundry before heading out to do the photoshoot! Being a Creative Spiritual Entrepreneur is about blending and balancing all aspects of life into one thriving ecosystem!

This photo was created in collaboration with photographer Kevin Thom. He is my creative soul mate. We have created dozens of photos and videos together. He totally gets my vision and evolves it to another level. I’m always blown away by what we create together!

Kevin and I scouted out the perfect location to do this shoot and we discovered this calm beach in Burlington Ontario.  These are test photos to get the lighting set up.

I love how the final image creates the appearance of a pending storm. I feel the nü paradigm is like a storm, but a storm of our own creation. When we perceive our reality in the way we desire we can view the storm as generating the energy needed to create the life we desire.

When I was working as a truck driver (did you know I did that?), I was so deeply unhappy. I felt the Universe was playing a dark trick on me.

I was convinced I had a powerful purpose to be a creative spiritual leader guiding people to listen to their heart and follow their dreams.  Yet here I was living the exact opposite!

Each day I went to work I cried and complained about how wrong it was, and how completely ridiculous it was for me to be driving this truck.

I was in a deep funk and needed serious help getting out of it.

One day I cried so much I could have made an ocean. That was the day I received a vision of myself being peacefully guided through the ocean of tears to a magical place where my purpose was waiting for me.

The vision was so powerful I knew I needed to create something to capture it. So, I created a Soul Art collage with a dolphin guiding me  (that’s me with the crown) through the ocean of tears to a place that felt like home.

The following day, after I completed the collage, I brought it to work with me and perched it on the dashboard.

After a few quick turns the collage was tossed on the dirty floor of the truck. So that night I got the collage laminated and brought it in again the next day.

That collage sat on the dashboard for months.

I stopped crying and instead starting getting ideas for what I could do to make my purpose come to life.

Every day the collage gave me messages and insights and reminded me of my purpose and let me know everything was going to be okay.

It was as if the art activated a deep power within me and gave me direct access to my spirit wisdom. I started bringing my journal to work, so I could take notes on all the messages that were being channeled through me about my purpose.

Now, fast forward to today, I am an award winning artist and shaman and I run Soul Art studio, which is a successful business guiding people to create their life and business as an expression of their spirit.

This art saved my life and kept me from falling into a trap of leading a life that was not for me.  It gave me the courage to go for my own unique path and make my dreams a reality!

This is when I really understood the true power of Soul Art.  Not only was I able to express myself while I created it, but it gave me months of spiritual guidance and love. Without it I might very well be driving that truck still!

Now I passionately share the power of  Soul Art with others so they can activate the life they are born for.

When I start feeling a bit anxious or fearful about things not going the way I’d like I pull out this photo. It was taken after I completed a 5 day meditation in the woods. It captures the essence of my Soul’s Art perfectly~ free, sensual and enraptured by spirit.  It instantly reminds me of what it feels like to be in the flow saying Yes! to life.

This is the power of having a visual image to anchor a feeling or idea. One look at this and my mood is instantly transformed into a higher vibration.

I often get asked: “How does Soul Art help create dreams into reality, heal bodies and transform careers and income?”

1. Soul Art connects you with your spirit. When you connect with your spirit you are connecting with your genius, your wisdom and your inner guidance system, this is how true healing and transformation is activated.

2. Soul Art shifts your mind into a different pattern.The act of creating Soul Art shifts your mind into a deeper mental wave pattern that is healing to your body. This allows healing to happen naturally and organically rather than imposed. It also allows you to shift from the logical mind to your Spirit Mind where you have access to insights beyond your current knowledge.

3. Soul Art gives you a visual representation of an internal spiritual expression. This allows you to anchor something magical and powerful in your life. This is why Vision Boards are used as manifestation tools. When your subconscious mind has a visual image to anchor an idea it can create it in your life.

4. Soul Art strengthens your magnetism. When you create something you enter the ‘unknown’,the very act of creating is the act of entering a space that doesn’t exist yet. The Unknown is the most powerful place to be, because that is where you are the most present. Yogis and meditators spend their lifetime exercising their ability to be present. 5. Soul Art clears your energy. When you don’t let your unique creative spiritual energy flow through you, you get a spiritual constipation and everything gets blocked up in your life. When you create Soul Art on a regular basis your energy is clear and your channel for manifesting is pure.

Karen Knowler, known as The Raw Food Coach, traveled from England to spend 2 full days creating in Soul Art studio. She boldly explored her inner world, and bravely let it flow through her.

Creating on a big canvas is metaphoric for playing big in life. When your spirit has big dreams, you’ve got to have space to let them take shape. Karen is wildly creative and there are big things on the horizon for this raw foodie!

The studio was buzzing with creative energy the whole time.
Deep spiritual and creative work stirs up a lot of energy and it is important to really take care of yourself during these kinds of experiences.

We were blessed to have all our meals catered by the ultimate raw food chef Barbara Maccaroni from www.blove.ca. Now that I’ve experienced raw food at its best, I’m completely hooked!

We explored a full range of art mediums, including acrylic painting, pastel, pencil crayons and copper coiling.

The power of creating art is having a visual symbol of your own inner energy. When you can tangibly see what is happening within you it allows your subconscious mind to absorb the full depth of your spirit and ultimately claim its magnificence.

After all Soul Art sessions I always recommend putting the art somewhere it can be seen on a daily basis. This enables the magic of the art to take root in your life.

Let me share with you how it all began….

Years ago when I was beginning my journey as a soul artist, I struggled financially. Even though my inner world was rich with creativity and abundant with imagination I couldn’t figure out how to create the same kind of wealth in my material world. I was buying into ‘the starving artist’ stereotype and deeply unhappy about it. I would cry to myself because I felt it was so unfair to have genius ideas channeling through me and not have the funds to make them a reality.

I reached a point where I was washing dishes for my friend as payment for eating dinner there. (ouch!)

Finally I asked myself the obvious question~ If I could channel genius creative ideas and visions, why not channel a creative solution to the money mystery?

So I decided to create a ‘Money Spirit Guide’ as a way to receive some financial guidance. I started thinking about what I could include in a ‘Money Spirit Guide’ which led me to gather up all kinds of symbols, fabrics and objects that expressed financial wealth to me. Then I designed and created a costume to express the energy of my ‘Money Spirit Guide’ (she even has actual money in her costume).

When I completed the costume I felt like I had birthed my ‘Money Spirit Guide’ and she was ready to communicate with me. I asked her:
“What can you tell me about money?”

Here are the 9 things my Money Spirit Guide told me….

1. Stand tall and proud like you are Royalty.

2. Connect with your roots. Even though you are reaching for what you want stay connected to the ground.

3. Be beautiful. Don’t be beautiful the way others are beautiful, be beautiful the way you are beautiful.

4. Include all your life experiences into your wealth.

5. Be willing to be seen and recognized.

6. Heal the fears that separate you from the world.

7. Receive the gifts that have been given to you.

8. Lead by carving your own path.

9. Let your heart be your leader.

This was the beginning of an in-depth conversation with my Money Spirit Guide. Now, years later she has guided me to be a full time THRIVING Soul Artist. Many of my clients & students ask me ‘How do I do it? How am I able to follow my heart and make money?”
