The Luminous in the Liminal Shadows

Exploring the thresholds between shadow and illumination, where non-duality reigns, my work is a search to access the infinite creative potentials concealed within the many dimensions of Self.

My husband’s death initiated me into a journey where I discovered the light in the dark. The pain of the loss called me into a creative quest that led me to explore the luminosity in the liminal, searching for reciprocal relationships with an undivided world between spirit and matter.

About Mellissae Lucia

Mellissae Lucia is a visionary artist, author, and filmmaker who navigates life through the power of sacred play.

Over two decades ago, after her husband’s death from cancer, she went on a seven-year quest to claim her embodied creative power.

During this resurrection journey, she descended alone and nude into subterranean graffiti tunnels in New Mexico, dancing between the worlds and creating over 70,000 ritualistic self-portraits for the award-winning Oracle of Initiation deck.

About the curator

Laura Hollick is an award-winning artist and creator of Soul Art®. Through her own creative healing journey, Laura developed the Soul Art processes that have gone on to inspire hundreds of thousands of people around the world through global art events like International Soul Art Day, Soul Art School, and the Soul Art Certification.

BRAVO TV created a documentary about Laura’s art and life called “The Artist’s Life-Laura Hollick.” Laura hosted and produced over 500 radio shows for 93.3 FM CFMU called “The Artist’s Lifestyle.” Laura gave a TEDx talk called “You are the Art.”
